The History

With their most recent endeavor, acclaimed chef Luca Annunziata and his wife Jessica embark on a true culinary tale of Italy. Combining traditional classic fare with modern creativity allows chef Luca to provide a quintessential Italian menu with innovative twists.

Along with their talented team, they will create culinary magic, which will showcase seasonal flavors and classic regional cooking techniques all while paying homage to where it all began.

Luca and Jessica’s story begins pre-9/11 in NYC where they met while both working in the restaurant industry. After the tragedy, they decided to relocate to Sorrento, Italy where Luca worked for Don Alfonso 1890, a two star Michelin restaurant in Sant’Agata sui Due Golfi. Always planning to return to the US, in 2005 they decided to call Charlotte their home.

In 2006, with a wealth of invaluable culinary knowledge and experience under their respective belts, they decided to follow their dream and open Passion8 Bistro in Fort Mill, SC. It was here they received many prestigious awards including the AAA Diamond Award, as well as being named by Charlotte Magazine as one of “The Top 25 Restaurants In Charlotte”.
